Call Strategy

They said yes to a call. Now study their business, find the pain point, and walk in with a plan instead of a pitch.

01

Research the client before the call

02

Find 3 pain points you can solve

03

Run the call and book the next step

01 / 03

Once you've got replies and clients who agree to hop on a strategy call, study their business and their likely pain points before you show up.

Before the call

  • Watch their last 10 videos. Note what's working and what isn't.
  • Check their posting frequency and engagement.
  • Write 3 specific improvements you'd make.
02 / 03

The call, step by step

  1. 01Meet and greet. Ask how their day is going.
  2. 02Ask where they're based.
  3. 03Ask if it's okay to record the call.
  4. 04Ask what made them want to talk to you.
  5. 05Ask about their current struggle with content.
  6. 06Ask where they want to be in 3 to 6 months, and how that would feel.
  7. 07On a scale of 1 to 10, how important is it? How committed are they?
  8. 08Now, and only now, show how your service solves it.
  9. 09Share proof: results, testimonials, before and after.
  10. 10Give the price, then stop talking. Let them react.
  11. 11Ask what happens if nothing changes.
  12. 12Agree on next steps and the platform you'll talk on.

Key tip

Learn it by keywords, not word for word. And be confident in what you're offering. It's okay not to close on the first call: tell them you'll send a proposal.

03 / 03

On the call

  1. 01Ask about their goals before you talk about yourself.
  2. 02Ask what's stopping them from getting there.
  3. 03Share your 3 improvements. Show, don't pitch.
  4. 04Recommend one package that fits.
  5. 05Agree on the next step: proposal by a specific date.
