Problem Analysis

Pick one market, find the problem that keeps them up at night, and write the one-sentence statement your whole business will stand on.

01

Shortlist 5 markets and commit to 1

02

Name their main problem in their own words

03

Write your "I help..." statement

01 / 03

Most new editors say "I edit videos for anyone." Anyone means no one. The fastest way to get paid is to serve one specific market with one specific problem.

Who do you want to serve?

Examples: podcast coaches, content creators, real estate agents. List at least 5, then choose the 1 you'll serve.

2026markets hiring editors right now

E-commerce brands running UGC ads, TikTok Shop sellers and affiliates, coaches and podcasters, real estate agents, SaaS founders on LinkedIn, and local businesses that finally need short-form. Brands want volume, so editors who can make many ad variations get kept.

02 / 03

Find the gap

Use ChatGPT, Claude or Perplexity, then check it against real people. Ask: what is the main problem (your market) faces in their business or content?

Prompt to copy

Act as a [market] doing [revenue] per month. List the 10 most frustrating problems you have with video content, in your own words, ranked by how much you'd pay to make them go away.

Example situation

Podcast coaches burn out from scriptwriting, content creation and video editing. So I offer video editing to remove at least one thing standing between them and their time freedom.

03 / 03

The statement

“I help [target market] get [dream result] without [pain and challenges] through [unique system].”

Example: "I help podcast coaches generate more sales through my scroll-stopping media productions."

Your task before the next lesson

Write your statement and say it out loud. If it sounds like anyone could say it, make it more specific.
